8:00 am Breakfast
Mornings at camp start at 7 am for those to like to rise and shine early. An Early Bird activity is a morning activity that is optional for campers and allows the early risers to get up and active! Some of our favorite Early Birds are Polar Bear Plunge, Yoga, and Water Aerobics. Breakfast follows at 8 am.
9:30 am 1st Activity Period
10:45 am 2nd Activity Period
The activity periods start after breakfast at 9:30 am. This is when campers spread out into groups with instructors to take classes like Giant Bubbles, go down the zip-line, and explore the animal area!
12:00 pm Free Time
1:15 pm Lunch
We want campers to have a chance to explore camp with their friends during a (loosely structured) free-time. At noon, all campers have the opportunity to send emails home, visit the camp store for a snack, visit the animals, swim at the pool, or lounge in the hammocks. At 1:00 pm, they we start to meet back up at Ursa's landing to gather with their cabin counselors and cabin mates to head to lunch.
2:00 pm Siesta
Ahhh! Truly one of the best parts of the day is Siesta! Campers can enjoy a break in their cabins for the rest our that we call "Siesta". Campers are encouraged to recharge with a nap and take it easy, but they are also able to spend the hour palying card games and talking. Campers are encouraged however to be respectful of those trying to sleep, rest, and recharge, so quiet voices is key.
3:00 pm 3rd Activity Period
4:15 pm 4th Activity Period
5:30 pm Dinner
The activity periods resume for campers at 3:00 pm and ends right before dinner at 5:30 pm.
7:30 pm Evening Activity
An Evening Activity is scheduled for every night of camp. One of our favorite evening activities at camp is Circle of Life! On this night, our teen leadership campers, ASITs, bring around animals to each cabin for campers to see, touch/hold, and learn about! Many pictures are taken this night- so be ready! Other favorite evening activites include Capture the Flag and Camp Out night. Scheduled periodically during the week of camp is a Night Owl, this is an optional activity where campers can enjoy a night swim or star gaze.
