Calling all rock hounds. If you are fascinated by the earth and what it's made of, then this is the summer camp course for you. Learn how to classify different types of rocks and use geologists' methods for discovering their structure. Everyone one will go home with their own rock collection.

Geology, also known as Rocking Around is just one of over 30 courses offered at Cub Creek Science Camp.

For every week you are at camp, you will choose two camp courses. Each summer camp course is made up of five classes.

These classes are part of the GEOLOGY course: 

  • Fossils
  • Quarry Dig
  • Rock Hunt- Geology on the Go
  • Go Eat Rocks
  • Gem Stone Bingo

Geology is the science that studies the earth, rocks and minerals. Rocks may seem dull upon first glance, but understanding the rocks and minerals helps us understand ourselves. The human body contains 30 different types of minerals. From sparkling diamonds to out of this world meteorites, with so many amazing minerals, learning about geology really rocks!
